Special Edition Social
Special Edition Social
We're hosting an all-day, outdoor Special Edition of our Saturday social on July 26th, 2025 - join us as we stitch together from 10 am - 4 pm (yes, that means crocheters, cross-stitchers, hand-embroiders, spinners etc. are all welcome). We're asking for your help as this social is being run during a downtown Whitby street festival - get all of the details on this blog post (MUST READ in order to attend).
What's a Stitch Social?
What's a Stitch Social?
A Stitch Social at Artisanthropy is a gathering of creative individuals from our community whom love to craft with their hands. Knitting, crochet, cross-stitching, tatting, felting, spinning (with a portable device, like a drop-spindle), weaving (with a small, handheld or lap-top loom) - whatever your fibre obsession, you're welcome to bring it with you to our socials.
Can I Get Some Help?
Can I Get Some Help?
From time to time, should you need some assistance with a crochet or knitting project, our staff may be able to assist you with your pattern or stitch work. We limit this assistance to 10 minutes per social.
Socials are not a place to learn an entirely new craft. For that, please consider taking a class.

Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct
Our goal here at Artisanthropy is for Stitch Social time to be a "safe space" for everyone. We make an effort to minimize discussions of the the following topics in an effort to remain non-judgmental, upbeat, positive, creatively-focused and accepting of everyone, no matter their walk in life:
- politics
- religion
- war
- any other controversial topics of the day
Essentially, ask yourself the question "Does this contribute positively to the group dynamic?". If the answer is "no" or "I don't know", then please keep it to yourself.
Let's make an effort to show support and acceptance to all on their crafting and life journeys.
