At Artisanthropy, we aim to ensure that every purchase meets your expectations. Our return and exchange policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and straightforward.
Class Registration & Cancellation Policy
We believe learning should be joyful — not stressful. That’s why we offer our No-Stress Learning Promise:
Cancellations & Refunds

Cancel 7+ days before class: Full refund to the original payment method.

Cancel within 7 days of class start: Receive store credit toward any future class.

After class begins: No automatic refund or credit. However, you’re welcome to transfer your spot to a friend if you can no longer attend.
Missed Classes
Didn’t make it? Life happens. We’ll help you get the most out of your registration:

Transfer to the next available session of the same class, or
-
Receive store credit toward another class.
One complimentary reschedule is included per registration.
Private Makeup Option
Need extra support? Private lessons are available to help you catch up on missed material at our standard private lesson rate.
Cancellation by Artisanthropy
If we must cancel a class (due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances), you may choose a full refund or reschedule into another session at your convenience.
Order Cancellations
We understand that sometimes you change your mind! Here’s how we handle order cancellations:

Before shipment: Orders may be cancelled for a full refund
Tip: If you simply need to change an item (wrong colour, different size, more skeins), it’s often faster and easier for us to adjust your order instead of cancelling it entirely. Just reach out and we’ll happily make the swap whenever possible!

After shipment: Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled. You may return eligible items under our Returns & Refunds policy.
Returns & Refunds
Return Eligibility:
- Returns are accepted on unused, unopened items in resellable condition.
- Returns within 30 days of receipt will be refunded to the original method of payment.
- Returns between 31–90 days will be refunded as store credit.

Knitting needles or hooks may be exchanged for a different size within 48 hours of receipt (or the following business day we are open, if received on a weekend) if they are unused and in original packaging.
If a needle or hook breaks due to a defect within one year, we’ll happily help coordinate a replacement under the manufacturer’s warranty.
Exclusions:
- Opened or used knitting needles, crochet hooks, or sets are not eligible for standard returns. Defective or damaged items will be replaced under manufacturer warranty.

Wound yarn, mystery skeins, mystery bags, mystery kits, partial packs, books, patterns, knitting machines, gift cards, sale items, and used tools cannot be returned.
Shipping for Returns

Canada: Prepaid Canada Post labels are available. A flat rate of $7.95 CAD + tax will be deducted from the refund or store credit.

International: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

In the event of an incorrect or defective shipment, Artisanthropy will cover all return or replacement shipping costs.
Exchanges
Customers may request an exchange instead of a refund. Exchanges will be shipped as soon as the returned item is scanned by Canada Post, subject to availability of the replacement item.
Holiday Return Window
Purchases made between November 1 – December 31 may be returned through January 31 of the following year.
Return Procedure

Email info@artisanthropy.ca to request a return and obtain your secure return address or prepaid label.

Pack items securely in their original packaging.

Affix your label and ship via Canada Post.
Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed according to the timelines above, minus any applicable return shipping charges.

Purchases made using Artisan Rewards discounts will be refunded for the amount actually paid.

Artisan Rewards Points and the discounts they are redeemed for are non-refundable and have no cash value.
