Class: The Ultimate Granny Square Masterclass (Starts July 7)

This class is 4x 2-hour classes.
Begins Tuesday, July 7 for 4 weeks. 6:30  - 8:30 p.m.

Is there anything more iconic in the crochet than the humble granny square? From vintage 70s blankets to modern runway fashion, this versatile little square is the ultimate building block for blankets, bags, sweaters, and more.

In this workshop you learn how to make 6 variations of this fabulous four-sided favourite from the classic, open weave square to those with more complicated patterns and designs, how to finish them, how to join them together into a stunning project and how to read visual, charted patterns.

• 5mm crochet hook

• Weight 4/worsted yarn in your choice of 3 or 4 colours, however only one colour will be required for the 1st session and colour ideas will be discussed

• Notions such as stitch markers, scissors, darning/wool needles (for weaving in ends)

A basic understanding of crochet skills are required for this class, participants should know how to hold their hooks and yarn, know how to chain, single crochet, half-double, double crochet. Knowledge of how to work in the round, use a magic ring and to read a written pattern are beneficial, but support will be provided for those require it.
