Class: Absolute Beginner Crochet For Adults - Starts July 12

Beginner Crochet Class
Sunday  1:30 - 3:30
Ages 15+

 

This class is 3 x 2 hour classes
July 12, 19 & 26

If you’ve never crocheted before (or long enough ago that you don’t remember), this class is for you! You will learn everything you need to crochet a simple dishcloth in the first two weeks, and then upgrade those skills to make a granny square in the final week.
Skills you will learn:
  • How to hold the yarn
  • Necessary basic crochet stitches
    • slip knots, chain stitches, double crochets, and single crochets
  • Crocheting flat and in the round
  • Reading a basic crochet pattern
Materials:
  • 5.0mm crochet hook
  • 50g of worsted weight yarn in cotton*
  • 50g of worsted weight yarn in acrylic or wool*
  • Tapestry or yarn needle
*Yarn colour doesn’t matter so long as it is not too dark, so you can see your stitches!
