***Holiday 2020 Shipping Update***:

Given what we've seen this year, the pandemic has already increased the popularity of online shopping leading to delays with shipping carriers. So as we gear up for the busiest time ahead, we also anticipate delays and want to share our recommended holiday order deadlines to help you prepare.

The Postal Service expects the busiest time will start two weeks before Christmas but given the higher volumes and safety guidelines in place, this will likely take place much earlier this year.

It's important to keep in mind that higher volumes are expected this year due to the pandemic. Please get your orders in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. 

Please see the below suggested deadlines for your orders to hopefully receive your orders prior to December 25th, 2020.

Southern Ontario & Western Quebec:

  • We should be able to continue to ship your orders with expected delivery within 3-4 days at the very latest via local courier, up until about December 18th, 2020. Please get your Christmas orders in prior to December 18th, if possible. After that, we cannot guarantee delivery prior to Christmas.

Canada Tracked:

  • Nov 26: All regions for Canada Tracked shipments destined for outside of Southern Ontario & Western Quebec

International Standard Shipping (tracked, to U.S.A.)

  • Nov 27

Priority Tracked to Rest of World

  • Nov 24

Please note:

  • Cut-off dates are for estimated delivery before December 25 but many carriers have removed guarantees. These are estimated delivery times and delays are expected.

Please note, that due to volume of orders during the holiday season, it may take up to 4 business days for your order to be dropped off with our couriers. 

Where We Ship From, and To

We ship from Ontario, Canada, and always endeavour to use the most economical, and most environmentally-friendly, approach. We re-use shipping boxes and packs whenever we can in an attempt to keep packaging out of the landfill for at least one more run, and to save you, our valued customer, money. When we've run out of shipping boxes to reuse, we use packaging made from recycled materials whenever possible. And we hope you will consider reusing the packaging we've sent your products to you in, if it has any life left in it.

Fulfilled orders will be dropped off at our courier within 3 business days. Should there be any delays in shipping, we will inform you as soon as possible. See below for estimated delivery timeframes, based on your location.

FREE, local pickup

  • If you live in the area near Whitby, Ontario, you are welcome to pick up your order of any amount, for free. Select FREE, local pickup from the shipping options.

Shipping Sewing & Tatting Needles

We are able to provide lettermail prices on shipping orders that consist of only sewing needles or tatting needles, or lightweight paper products such as tatting pattern booklets, to Canada, the U.S.A. and Internationally. Please note, orders shipped through these methods will not have a tracking number associated with them, and we will not guarantee delivery as a result. If you require tracking or guaranteed delivery, then please choose any other option on the checkout page. Also note, if you have anything in your cart that cannot be shipped via regular lettermail, this option will not be available during the checkout process.

Other Packages & International Orders:

Orders that do not fit into the above specifications for Canada & the U.S.A., as well as international orders, may select appropriate shipping options from Canada Post and Fedex, as will be provided at the shopping cart. Alternatively, please contact us for a shipping quote for any specific items you may be interested - we are able to provide better rates than the default Canada Post and Fedex ones, we just need to know where you are! :)

Returns

We accept returns on unopened, unused items only. We do not accept returns on knitting needles or crochet hooks, or knitting needle or crochet hook sets. Unless due to our own error, returns are shipped to us at the customer's expense. We will cover replacement item shipping unless the original order was under our free shipping threshold. We are unable to cover the costs of international shipping for replacement items. We accept returns up to 30 days from the date of the transaction, or the receipt of the product if tracking information is purchased for your shipment.
