This year’s LYS Day pattern is a long rectangular shawl that will keep you engaged as you knit. The shawl begins with an elegant lace stitch pattern for the center panel. There is no sewing or seaming since the side panel stitches are picked up along the edges of the center lace panel. The elegant pattern is created using lace stitches - no cable needle is needed!

Growing simply and quickly in stockinette stitch, the side panels are perfect for social knitting or tv watching. You’ll finish knitting the side panels with a couple of repeats of the lace to bring extra detail and interest to your shawl no matter how you wear it!
