Pattern to knit, to bring hope, to the knitter, and to the family at the hospital as they adorn their wee preemie babe with their own little hat, knowing their community cares.
Preemies can survive from 2 lbs. Usually, if all is well, they will go home at 5 lbs. During that time, their head will grow from the size of an orange to the size of a grapefruit. It is very important they stay warm, their little hat helps !!
This * Grow with Me* pattern was written by Nannie Charm. Do have fun with this, take your finished hats into the birthing wing at your local hospital when done. If you wish, you can return them to Artisanthropy and Vickie/Nannie Charm will deliver them to Lakeridge Health and/or Sick Kids Hospital.
Pattern at this time requires a 3.25 mm straight needle, a 5 mm crochet hook, a darning needle, scissors and a measuring tape, all of which are available in-shop and online. We have 9" ChiaoGoo bamboo patina needles available, making this a very portable project. The pattern is perfect for Cascade Cherub Baby, and the Kit is available here.
