"With this ring... I give you my Heart" This elegant sampler depicts a wedding in a beautiful garden setting. Many couples choose to get married outdoors, or they exchange their vows in their church and have the wedding photographs and/or reception outside. We all love to see the sunshine in a beautiful garden or park, and what better setting for these happy people. Everyone is enjoying the love and fresh air under the trees. The guests at the top of this sampler are enjoying the atmosphere of the garden, the groomsmen and bridesmaids are beautifully dressed and lined up in the next panel, and the main wedding party is depicted in the third panel, enjoying their special moments of closeness and the promise of a full and happy life together. The little flower girl and ring bearer boy are so excited to be part of the events, as are the Maid of Honour and the Best Man. Separating the panels you can see 2 elegant bands of white lace, stitched with silks to remind you of the bridal veil, as well as a gorgeous Hardanger panel. I have used a beautiful pale green and a soft mauve/gold/blue overdye from Gloriana to create the main colourway of this design. These two overdyes co-ordinate with silks for the dresses of the bridesmaids and the Maid of Honour, as well as some of the guests. If you want to change the colours of this sampler to your bridal colours, first change the multi coloured overdye, and then substitute matching silks to create a cohesive design.
