Community Matters to Me

One of the main reasons I bought Whitby's LYS was that I love having fibre artists of all levels come together to support one another and celebrate each other as creators. For many years, Artisanthropy's community would gather at Stitch Socials on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

My hope is to foster even more community so I am removing the fee for attending a social. I hope this will encourage more people to come out and connect. And, I want to bring young fibre artists together. so we are starting a knit and crochet club for kids 9 - 13 on Saturdays in May from 9-11. Again there is no charge but reserving a seat is recommended.

Also, we want to continue to provide a safe space that is supportive to all. The Code of Conduct provides direction and support to help build that space.

Please help me spread the word  about these changes.

I have many scraps, bits and bobs, of leftover yarn. I know I met a lady at one of your socials who makes dolls for charity. I wonder if I could get in touch with her to see if she could make use of them. Or drop them off at the store for when she comes in. Sorry I do not remember her name!
